“Days go by, Nights arrive.” A Poem by Alex Oram.

Days go by, nights arrive
Days arrive, nights go by
Dreams go bye, each passing day
Can’t recall what I did say
But new ones born, the day begins
Each dawn a place to start again

I’m washed by mercy I’m made clean
Even in the spots unseen
Dirt and grit and sand and sin
Brokenness; how it gets in
Grace, and blood, and tears and time
The way He did forgive my “crime”
The crime was that I crossed the line
Of right and wrong, He paid my fine
No longer slaves, I am refined
Purified, I am defined
By His blood, He says, “You’re mine”
